SS16 Shoot Behind The Scenes

Posted on June 08, 2015 by Owen Hayward

On 2/6/15 we set out for the Cornish coast with a great team, some stunning locations and, of course, beautiful new raffia bags and hats to shoot. We had such fun and we're delighted with the results, but it wasn't all plain sailing!

Unfortunately, we arrived to our first shoot location in the pouring rain, and it remained pretty miserable for the entire morning. Although it may be more reflective of the average British summer, a blustery and rainy day wasn't quite what we had in mind when we booked the shoot.

By mid day everyone had begun to feel a little anxious, we'd been assured that the sun was due to make and appearance but that was seeming less and less probably as time marched on. Most of the team took shelter inside whilst a few of us tried to ensure everything was ready to go in faith that the sun would eventually break through.

Amazingly, soon after mid-day the sun popped out and we were able to start shooting. Within what seem'd like a matter of minutes the clouds had vanished and we were gifted with the most exquisite day. The locations couldn't have been more perfect and both Carbis Bay and Lusty Glaze were exceptional hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed to make the shoot a real success.

Our photographers for the shoot, Brad and Archie from Reef Design worked tirelessly to get the perfect shots and we really couldn't be any more excited about sharing them with you! All that hard work takes it's toll though and eventually it got just a bit too much for Brad. You'd think a photographer with his experience would have a little more stamina, but alas, we lost him to the black blanket of despair.

We'll be launching our SS16 collection at Pure London this August, so keep checking our exhibitor profile and social media channels for sneaky previews over the next couple of months. . .

SurfGirl Magazine is one of our faves and now there's yet another reason to love them, they've just relaunched their online shop (SurfGirl Beach Boutique) and started stocking a selection of our bags.

Here's what they've got to say about it :

Stockist Spotlight - Celtic & Co

Posted on March 18, 2015 by Rebecca Barber

Celtic & Co launched their Spring Summer 2015 collection a couple of weeks ago, and we're delighted to say it features a number of our bags.

The SS15 collection at Celtic & Co features laid-back designs for the next season - pieces that will truly inspire you, turn heads and cast thoughts to the warmer months ahead. Inspired by nature using a colour palette that reflects the Cornish coastal landscape and textures created from the finest, natural fibres and yarns. Offering key wardrobe pieces to see you from fresh spring days right through to hot holidays in the sun; including super cool beach dresses and must-have beach bags. Everything a stylish girl needs for the warmer months ahead.

As well as stocking the bags Celtic have taken some beautiful lifestyle and product shots to help in marketing and promoting them (see a couple of examples below).

Early feedback from Celtic & Co is that the bags are selling really well, and they've already had to re-stock a couple of items! You can view their full collection online at and we love it!
